The project

● UX/UI design

● Gamification

During a one-week design sprint, my challenge was to solve a major problem in the health and wellness industry: users struggle to make meaningful, actionable observations from the data their smart devices collect.

I designed a mobile application that uses gamification principles to help users understand and act on their health data. The app transforms raw data into engaging, interactive mini-games that motivate and educate users on how their actions impact their health.

The process

Given the one-week time constraint of the design sprint, my process was highly focused and efficient. I started with rapid research on best practices in the health and fitness industry, combined with a deep dive into gamification principles. This research directly informed the design of my solution, which transformed collected data into an educational and motivating experience. I focused on designing interactive mini-games that not only communicated data but also educated the user on the impact of their habits.

My role

As a Master's level design student, I had complete ownership of this project. My role included every stage of the design process, from initial research and strategy to drafting, prototyping, and final design. I even took on the coding for the solution and delivered a compelling elevator pitch at the final presentation, showcasing my ability to manage a project from concept to delivery.
